The pandemic has given fans an unprecedented peek inside celebrity homes — and at celebrity bookshelves.

As stars film talk show appearances, comedy specials, and benefits at home, many are setting up their cameras in home offices, giving viewers a fascinating look at their bookshelves.

That means we know more of what stars like Cate Blanchett, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, and Anna Wintour are reading — and the favorite volumes they keep displayed on their shelves.

The New York Times took a close look at several celebrity videos to figure out what’s on their bookshelves.

When Cate, 50, was on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on April 15, she set up in front of a colorful bookshelf that shows that the actress is a fan of nonfiction — and the English language.

Her bookshelf includes all 20 volumes of The Oxford English Dictionary, which sell for $1,298.99 (£1,045.300) at Target.

Also on her shelf is Postcapitalism by Paul Mason, as well as Moscow 1937 by Karl Schlögel.
